Loading this page runs a live check against the API right now, and reports whether it is serving requests and how quickly it answered. It is not a cached badge, and it rechecks every thirty seconds while the page is open.
Operational means the API is accepting and serving lookups. Degraded means it is not, and that we already know - there is nothing to report to us. If the API is operational here but your own requests are failing, that is a question about your request rather than our availability, and errors lists every code we return and what each one means.
No uptime percentage and no incident history, because neither is measured yet. Publishing “99.9%” without the measurement behind it would be inventing a number, which is the one thing this product exists not to do - the same rule that makes a lookup omit a platform it could not confirm rather than reporting it as registered: false. When uptime is genuinely recorded, it will appear here with the window it was measured over.
Operational here also does not promise that every optional enrichment source is answering. Those degrade on their own terms: breaches and webMentions come back null rather than empty when one is unavailable, and the lookup still returns its platform results.
