Cancel whenever you like. This page explains how, what happens to the rest of the period you already paid for, and the cases where we refund.
Every account gets a fixed lifetime allowance of free lookups before any card is required. That exists so you can confirm the service does what you need on your own data, rather than finding out after paying. We would rather you spent that allowance properly than asked for a refund later.
Two ways, both immediate and neither requiring a conversation. Use the link in the receipt email Paddle sent you, which opens their customer portal and cancels there. Or email us and we will cancel it for you the same business day.
Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for, so you keep full access and your remaining lookups until then, and you are not billed again. Nothing is pro-rated, because nothing is cut short.
After the period ends the account stays open on the free tier. Your API keys keep working within the free allowance, if any remains, so an integration degrades rather than breaking without warning.
We refund in full, without argument, in these cases:
Outside those cases we do not refund a period already under way, since the service was available to you throughout it. If something went wrong that is not listed here, write to us anyway. We would rather hear about it.
Consumers in the EU and UK normally have 14 days to withdraw from a distance contract. Because access to the service begins immediately at checkout, you are asked to consent to that immediate start, which means the withdrawal right ends once performance has begun. In practice we still honour the 14-day window under the “subscribed by mistake” case above where no lookups have been run on the paid plan. This paragraph does not limit any right you have that cannot be waived.
Payments are processed by Paddle.com Market Ltd as merchant of record, so refunds are issued through Paddle and appear against the original payment method, usually within 5 to 10 business days. We do not hold your card details and cannot refund to a different card.
To request a refund, email sales@digifootprint.dev from the address on the account, with the date and amount of the charge. We reply within two business days.
