Digital Footprint checks Wattpad from an email address as part of every lookup, alongside 885+ other platforms, breach history and public web mentions - one request, one shape of answer. A hit means an account exists for that input; account contents are never collected.
Instant tier for email address lookups - answered in well under a second
Wattpad is checked from an email address. The response says whether that address has a Wattpad account - registered: true or registered: false - with the moment that was established in checkedAt. A username on its own cannot reach Wattpad, so username lookups do not include it.
Wattpad is in the instant tier: with ?instant=true it is among the first platforms answered, in well under a second. On a full lookup it is checked alongside every other platform and streamed as it lands.
If Wattpad blocks the check, times out, or answers ambiguously, it is omitted from results[] entirely rather than returned as registered: false. Absence from the response means "unconfirmed", never "no account".
Creative platform accounts are checked by marketplaces and freelance platforms that pay out to sellers and creators. A portfolio built over years on design, photo or writing sites is rarely faked, so a seller or freelancer with real creative history is a different risk from a brand-new address asking to be paid.
