Digital Footprint checks Internet Archive from an email address as part of every lookup, alongside 885+ other platforms, breach history and public web mentions - one request, one shape of answer. A hit means an account exists for that input; account contents are never collected.
Instant tier for email address lookups - answered in well under a second
Internet Archive is checked from an email address. The response says whether that address has a Internet Archive account - registered: true or registered: false - with the moment that was established in checkedAt. A username on its own cannot reach Internet Archive, so username lookups do not include it.
Internet Archive is in the instant tier: with ?instant=true it is among the first platforms answered, in well under a second. On a full lookup it is checked alongside every other platform and streamed as it lands.
If Internet Archive blocks the check, times out, or answers ambiguously, it is omitted from results[] entirely rather than returned as registered: false. Absence from the response means "unconfirmed", never "no account".
Identity providers, link-in-bio pages and everyday utilities are checked because almost everyone has an account on at least one of them. An email with no presence even here is unusual, which makes these platforms a useful baseline in any footprint.

Every one of these is checked in the same request as Internet Archive.
